Lukas is an astrophysicist. He is currently completing his Ph.D. in Astronomy at the University of Hawaii's Institute for Astronomy. In his work as a patent enginner, Lukas assists with patent preparation and prosecution for domestic and international clients.

Prior to joining OBWB, Lukas held a number of research positions at the University of Hawaii and at the College of Charleston. His extensive insight in astronomy and astrophysics makes him an expert in these fields. In addition to leading educational activies and serving in an advisory capacity, Lukas has also authored a number of publications on these topics.
